Your chart on your device

Cosmic uses your birth details to calculate and store charts on your device. Your name is optional. You can create a chart and explore local chart, sky, and map features without an account.

When you ask for an AI reading

Connected readings use server-backed services. Standard readings send selected chart facts needed for the request. Raw birth details are not automatically added to those requests.

When you use the Guide, the message you type is sent to the connected service. If you put personal details into a message yourself, those details become part of that message. Voice input can also use a transcription service.

Automatic Guide context

Automatic page, chart, and transit context is a separate Guide setting and is off by default. Review the app's explanation before enabling it. Explicit actions to explore a selected detail can also include the relevant context for that request.

Discoveries and friends

When you connect with accepted friends, ordinary discoveries, completed explorations, and a minimal social profile are shared by default under the app's sharing settings. You can turn this sharing off.

Your private People library and your Friends connections serve different purposes. A friendship does not automatically supply someone's birth details or add their chart to your saved People.

Sharing a birth profile

Birth-profile sharing is separate from ordinary discovery sharing. It requires a preview and approval for the individual friend. Review what will be shared before you approve it.

Deleting your account and local charts

Account deletion and local chart erasure are separate choices. The deletion flow lets you choose whether local chart data should also be removed. An Apple subscription is managed separately through Apple.

This promotional website

This site has no signup form, advertising trackers, or analytics scripts. Its interactive illustrations run in your browser and do not collect birth details or generate a personal chart. External links open the services they identify.
